Planning our 2009 adventure

After 18 months of planning (with help from Rick Steves Guidebooks), arranging, rearranging and prepaying, my husband, Don, and I are leaving tomorrow for a month of traveling around England, Wales and Scotland. I picked this destination as I am an Anglophile and my husband loves to travel anywhere. One of his favorite sayings when I say "We don't have enough money to go there," is "No one can take away your memories!"

Give me English fiction or non-fiction, BBC and British comedies, the accent and all the history. How can you not be interested in a country that has a history that started over 2,000 years old? We live in Florida where I think the "history" began in the 1950's when air conditioning became available and we could all sleep comfortable.

Since we can't move out of Florida until we win the lottery, it was time for another English adventure. After all, my very first trip to England was 15 years ago and I want to see so much more!
